HS Track & Field had an awesome League Meet on Friday! Christina Murphy won the 100m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles- this makes her All Conference in 2 events! Athletes placing top 5 in their event: Alex Bradshaw, 2nd 300m Hurdles & 4th in Long Jump. Cayden Jones, 2nd in Long Jump. Avery Jakeway 4th Shot Put with new PR! Warren Murphy, 5th 100m dash. Caroline Hansel, 5th in Long Jump & 100m dash. Brandy Huber, 3rd 10m dash and 4th 200m dash. Alexis Deffren 4th, 3200m race. Also, Girls 4x100 relay placed 3rd, Boys 4x100 relay placed 2nd, and Boys 4x200 relay placed 3rd! Overall Girls team placed 4th and Boys placed 6th.

Junior High and High School Cheer will be hosting their cheer clinic for all student athletes interested in participating next year. The clinic will take place on June 10-12th, with tryouts taking place on June 14th. If you are interested and haven't signed up, you can get more information from the Athletic Office.

More from the 2024 Ohio Code Scholar Event. Fayetteville MS was one of the 9 schools and over 400 students who participated! JT Siders and Zach Pritchard's robot won 5th place for best design. Thank you to Dr. Joshua Montgomery and his team at Southern State Community College for making Ohio Code Scholar possible.

On Monday, Mr. Basford's Info Tech 8 classes traveled to Southern State Community College for the celebration event of Ohio Code Scholar Robot Wars. Over the past few months, students configured a controller, 3D printed, wired, soldered, and programmed, a total of 34 robots.

Great start to the tournament, with the Lady Rockets winning over Georgetown 11-1! Their next game will be at home on Tuesday, 5/14 against Lockland.

Special congratulations to the spring athletics that received All-League! Baseball player Clayton Holden, as well as softball players Kenley Polston, Izabella Waddle, and Ava Wells, all received this special honor. Also, Head Softball Coach Kenny Waddle is the SHAC Co-Coach of the year! Excellent work from our athletes and coaches!

After lunch today, information regarding high school scheduling, graduation requirements, and the Course Selection Guide was presented to 8th grade students by the High School Dean of Academics, Mrs. Greco. The green schedule request forms should be reviewed, completed, and signed by the student and parent. Please submit forms to the MS office by Monday 5/13.
